About the Role
Provides clinical support for the Rehabilitation Services department to ensure timely, efficient, professional, and courteous patient care. Facilitates patient mobility under the direction of PT/PTA by walking, transferring, repositioning patients, and performing therapy-provided exercises and range of motion. Utilizes patient handling equipment, transfer devices, and protective equipment according to guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Walk patients
- Transfer patients bed to chair
- Reposition patients
- Perform therapy provided therapeutic exercises and range of motion
- Utilize patient handling equipment, transfer devices, and protective equipment in accordance with guidelines and vendor specification
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least one year of patient care experience preferred
- Acute care or long-term care experience as a Patient Care Technician, CNA or LPN preferred
- Proficient in basic word processing and computer data entry
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the health care team
