About the Role
As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Compliance Review in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and care. You will communicate clearly, document activities, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and other stakeholders while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building exteriors, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location requirements, directing individuals to appropriate resources or personnel as needed.
- Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
