About the Role
As a Front Desk Security Professional at a utilities location, you will be the welcoming presence for visitors and employees, managing access, monitoring entry activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain clear communication, and support a professional environment. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility customers by following site-specific procedures and front desk protocols.
- Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor access to the facility, direct visitors to appropriate contacts or locations, and report unusual activity or access concerns to designated personnel.
- Answer and route telephone calls, receive deliveries, and maintain professional communication with site personnel and the public.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
