About the Role

The Health Program Aide in the Division of HIV Health Care will perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the mission of the AIDS Institute. This role involves maintaining calendars, files, and documents, answering phones, coordinating travel and meeting materials, managing visit data, and handling correspondence and special projects.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and one year of general office, secretarial, or administrative experience OR three years of such experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts prior to hire.

Skills

  • Proficient using Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
  • Experience answering multi-line telephones for multiple staff
  • Experience managing calendars and scheduling meetings
  • Experience using virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex)
  • Experience performing data entry
  • Experience handling sensitive/confidential information

  • $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions)
