About the Role
As a Project Manager, you will plan, organize, direct, and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical and administrative contract documents, including drawings and specifications, for IO projects under the direction of a Project Director or Senior PM.
- Acquire, develop, and manage necessary technical and administrative information from various stakeholders to execute the project.
- Lead and manage the on-site project team with ethics, integrity, and collaboration, prioritizing safety, environment, quality, and schedule.
- Develop and manage monthly billings, and identify, report, and manage contract and subcontract changes.
- Prepare, develop, manage, and resolve contract and subcontract claims in accordance with the contract.
- Mentor and develop junior staff members, providing guidance on project management best practices and career growth.
- Lead projects in new territory, developing innovative solutions when traditional approaches are insufficient.
- Obtain necessary licenses and permits for work execution.
- Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms, and award them to subcontractors.
- Develop and monitor the CNESST prevention program on site.
- Establish and monitor the project schedule, including dates, main construction stages, constraints, and methodology on a weekly basis.
- Inform the superintendent of the project and discuss proposed methods.
- Place orders for critical materials, negotiate prices, and prepare contract documents for subcontractors in collaboration with senior project management.
- Coordinate and participate in various meetings.
- Establish and maintain a professional and positive rapport with the client.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction/project management, engineering, or equivalent.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in construction project management.
- Eligibility for Secret Level Security Clearance.
- Support through government security screening process will be provided.
