About the Role
Join a team that ensures the safety and security of cast, crew, celebrity guests, and co-workers at The Walt Disney Company. Security Officers play a vital role in protecting Disney property and people, handling everything from special events to regular security checks.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, check company IDs, and provide temporary IDs at building entrances
- Evaluate and screen the audience line at live TV shows
- Provide security presence at movie premieres or private parties
- Patrol hallways and building perimeters to identify safety issues or irregularities
- Accurately and completely fill out the logbook
- Answer visitor and employee questions in a friendly, professional manner
- Utilize training and common sense to de-escalate tense situations
- Respond to medical or fire incidents and coordinate with local first responders
- Assist private security details for high-profile individuals
- Manage messenger flow and package delivery
- Use technology to report incidents and manage information
- Perform walk-through evaluations at off-site events
Requirements
- 1 year of corporate security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English
- Strong command of basic English grammar
- Ability to make quick decisions using training and common sense
- Ability to interact with people in a friendly manner to achieve results
- Team orientation and willingness to collaborate
- Physical ability to perform all job duties and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Flexibility in workdays/hours, including willingness to work some overtime
Skills
- Valid Security Guard license
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working under pressure
- Ability to take command and diplomatically control difficult situations

- $42,600 to $57,000 per year
