About the Role
This role involves conducting specialized and highly complex analysis of financial data to support various finance functions and provide senior management with critical information for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Conducts specialized and highly complex analysis of financial data in support of various finance functions.
- Provides senior management with analysis and information for timely operational, financial, and strategic decisions.
- Identifies and researches material variances by working with related entity personnel.
- Reviews and evaluates accounting policies and procedures for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.
- Conducts specialized financial analysis and research on program income statements, decision support, new programs, and new products.
- Compiles and prepares reports, graphs, and charts of analyzed data.
- Makes presentations on areas of research or analysis.
- Prepares conclusions and forecasts and makes recommendations based on research.
- Analyzes and interprets data, statistics, and financial information, identifying significant differences.
- Assists in the development and/or modification of Finance policies and procedures.
- Stays informed of trends in financial management and adapts new developments into planning, control, and analytical processes.
- Assumes responsibilities for special projects involving financial planning and recommending changes, including establishing timetables, activity plans, and coordinating staff efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a finance functional area and 2 years of related experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
