About the Role

Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian Advanced Imaging (CNYPAI) is seeking a Radiology Manager to lead daily operations of MRI services. This patient-facing leadership role involves managing a team of 30 FTEs, ensuring accurate and timely imaging results, maintaining technical and departmental quality, and providing cost-effective patient care. The manager will also directly interact with patients to resolve concerns and ensure a smooth department flow.

Responsibilities

Direct daily technical operations across six magnets, including scheduling, staffing, overtime approval, and paid time off approval.
Ensure all personnel working in the MR environment are educated on MR safety requirements.
Serve as the point person for ACR accreditation applications and image submission.
Recruit, select, orient, and develop staff, providing work direction, training, and performance evaluations.
Monitor compliance with Center standards and policies, including patient confidentiality, infection control, and safety.
Execute productivity reports and provide guidance on equipment selection, procurement, and installation.
Control and order supplies, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.
Coordinate with IT resources for installation and security, and troubleshoot PACS and RIS issues.
Serve as an escalation point for patient concerns and service recovery.
Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, and research teams to coordinate imaging.
Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Certification by ARDMS, ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT.
Minimum four years of related clinical experience in radiology.
Minimum two years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Experience in an academic medical center or research imaging environment.
Experience leading unionized and/or collectively bargained teams.

Skills

MR Safety Officer (MRSO) certification through American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS)
