About the Role
This 4-month or 8-month internship role supports all aspects of pension administration, including annual statement production, benefit calculations, and testing calculation tools. The incumbent will interact with various internal teams, actuaries, legal advisors, and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Supporting cyclical activities such as annual statements and pension indexation.
- Preparing complex and/or non-routine member benefit calculations.
- Supporting other key pension services initiatives.
- Preparing and/or reviewing complex or non-routine annual statements.
- Preparing and/or reviewing pension benefit calculations.
- Preparing pension indexation calculations.
- Supporting data cleansing review and update initiatives.
- Supporting proof of life and missing member initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of second-year business, finance or actuarial science program.
- Some pension plan or actuarial industry experience is an asset.
- Strong ability to set up and manipulate spreadsheets in Excel.
- Strong computer skills including solid grasp of MS Office applications and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience coding SQL, Mail Merge or Excel VBA are assets.
