About the Role
This role involves actively taking orders, providing comprehensive food and beverage service, and ensuring a positive guest dining experience. You will interact with guests, team members, and supervisors with politeness and courtesy to deliver exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and accommodate guest needs
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned stations and the venue
- Provide professional and exceptional service
- Present menus, answer questions, and suggest food and beverage items
- Inform guests of food and beverage specials, including prices
- Solicit allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system and follow payment procedures
- Ensure timely delivery of all food and beverage to guests
- Follow supervisor instructions, communicate with, and support co-workers
- Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company
- Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations and training standards
- Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
- Work as part of a team, providing help and support to fellow team members
- Accurately complete all end-of-shift financial procedures
- Communicate guest needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs
- Perform opening and closing procedures as directed by management, including setting up tables, stocking stations, and reporting equipment damage
- Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
- Attend and participate in training sessions and departmental meetings
- Learn by listening, observing, and sharing knowledge
- Portray a positive and professional attitude
- Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments
- Assist with and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Previous hospitality experience
- Previous dining room experience
- Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
- Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
- Must have good positive energy throughout the day
- Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move quickly
- Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
