Zeta is seeking an Assistant Principal of Specialty to help build the next chapter of educational excellence. The role focuses on fostering a love for learning and changing the landscape of public education in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Build a joyful, safe, and intellectually rigorous school culture.
- Foster authentic and trusting relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Establish and uphold a shared vision for excellence across Specialty programs.
- Lead Specialty outcomes using a data-driven, results-oriented approach.
- Coach, develop, and inspire Specialty teachers across diverse disciplines.
- Analyze instructional, cultural, and behavioral data across Specialty programs.
- Model a culture of problem-solving, ownership, and unwavering commitment to student growth.
- Contribute as a key member of the school’s leadership team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 1 year of experience leading, coaching, and developing educators across multiple disciplines or program areas
- A minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience
- A clear vision for excellence in Specialty instruction, community-wide engagement, and classroom culture
- A passion for developing and strengthening Zeta’s Specialty programming
- A proven ability to develop people, build high-performing teams, and inspire others toward ambitious goals
- Strong judgment and the ability to navigate complex challenges with clarity, urgency, and solutions-oriented thinking
- High expectations for yourself and others, paired with deep ownership of your team’s growth and students’ success
- Work authorization is required.
- Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

- $105,000 - $122,000 starting salary
