About the Role
Play a critical role in developing automation and AI-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across investment workflows, while supporting investment operations. This role is for individuals who enjoy solving complex business challenges, collaborating across teams, and leveraging technology to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for key investment operations workflows, including reconciliations, pricing updates, tracking cash movement, and custody account management.
- Create and deploy software solutions, integrations, and AI-powered applications that improve operational efficiency and strengthen business processes.
- Create automated reporting and dashboards for senior management.
- Create and maintain key user interfaces such as for trade order management and asset transfers.
- Collaborate with investment, technology, finance, and operations teams to translate business and operational requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Lead and contribute to special projects while building strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support investment operations, including funding transactions, trade processing, foreign exchange conversions, and cash reconciliations.
- Oversee a growing portfolio of broad asset types while coordinating with portfolio managers, banks, custodians, and external asset managers.
- Support financial reporting, treasury operations, and accounting processes by delivering timely and accurate data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience developing software solutions, automation tools, AI-powered applications, or data-driven business solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience developing integrations using APIs, databases, and other data exchange technologies.
- Knowledge of complex investments, including private placements, derivatives, fixed income, mortgage loans, real estate, and equity securities.
- Experience developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining reliable software solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in investments, financial services, insurance, or other transaction-intensive industries.
- Experience building workflow automation, data pipelines, reconciliation processes, or operational applications.
- Experience developing AI-powered solutions and using generative AI tools to improve business processes.
- Familiarity with investment technology platforms such as Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, investment accounting systems, or similar tools.
