About the Role
Lawrence Yacht and Country Club is seeking a driven Tennis Shop Attendant eager to learn and contribute within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Responsibilities
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the shop or store.
- Maintain accountability for all POS transactions.
- Collect applicable fees from members, guests, and outside patrons.
- Make court, clinic, lesson and special event reservations.
- Assist guests by selling merchandise and providing information.
- Assist with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderly.
- Assist with general cleaning of the shop or store.
- Assist shop supervisor with creating appealing displays.
- Assist with monthly physical inventories.
- Work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play times.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and speak English may be required.
- Active tennis player with knowledge of the game.
- Retail sales experience is preferred.
- Computer proficiency, including Jonas POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media, and other programs related to tennis.
