About the Role
Every vehicle that comes through your bay is being outfitted with the tech that lets it drive itself — sensors, wiring, and onboard hardware. You will be responsible for ensuring all systems function correctly before the vehicle is deployed. This role involves routing and connecting wiring harnesses, mounting hardware, testing systems, and troubleshooting issues using diagrams and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Route and connect wiring harnesses.
- Mount hardware.
- Power up systems to test them.
- Identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
- Work with real diagrams and specifications.
Requirements
- Direct, hands-on automotive or vehicle-electrical experience.
- Experience in independent automotive repair shops or specialty repair facilities.
- Experience as a dealership or mobile service technician (electrical diagnostics, aftermarket hardware installs).
- Experience with automotive audio/sound system installation.
- Experience in fleet maintenance or end-of-line diagnostic technician roles.
- Military or electro-mechanical trade background.
- Automotive trade school training.
- Experience building or repairing personal computers, or other hands-on technical projects.
- Experience in aerospace/aviation assembly or technician work (excluding drone companies).
- AV operation or software testing roles paired with strong hands-on experience.
- Hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical hardware assembly.
- Experience building sensor assemblies and cable harnesses.
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and assembly/build instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with hand power tools.
