About the Role
As a Clinician at the McCloskey Cares Clinic, you will support the mental health and emotional well-being of children and families. You will provide compassionate care through individual, group, and family therapy, and crisis intervention, helping children move toward brighter futures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic services including individual, group, and family therapy
- Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care
- Complete initial treatment plans within 30 days of admission
- Update treatment plans every 180 days and maintain weekly progress notes
- Prepare discharge summaries and ensure smooth transitions out of care
Requirements
- Master's level clinician with a degree in social work, mental health counseling – with diagnostic privilege (LMHC,LMSW); Licensure or limit-permit required
- Bilingual in the Spanish language required
- Minimum one year experience providing clinical assessments/treatments, and/or case management services for children/adolescents and families
- Knowledge of the complex issues presented by children and families who are involved in the child welfare system
- Some working knowledge of NYC systems including ACS, OMH, and DOE
- Familiarity with OMH-Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Service programs operated clinics, Part 599 regulations is preferred
