About the Role
Amazon Business is rebuilding how it fulfills large and bulk orders to meet the needs of customers like school districts and contractors. This role will own the product roadmap for this initiative, aiming to provide a seamless, single-delivery experience for large orders. You will work closely with engineering teams and have direct exposure to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for bulk and large order fulfillment, from customer problem through launch and measured outcome.
- Write PRFAQs, business requirements documents, and annual and three-year planning inputs to secure funding and guide development.
- Act as the requirements owner with partner engineering teams in fulfillment planning and fulfillment center technology, negotiating scope, sequence, and dependencies.
- Define how Amazon consolidates large orders into minimal deliveries, including palletized options and customer-selected dates.
- Define how requests for many individual units can be fulfilled from cases and pallets, addressing inventory and receiving changes.
- Build the case for dedicated bulk fulfillment capacity, including direct shipping from suppliers to customers.
- Replace manual operator work with automation across sourcing, consolidation, and promise, and track reductions.
- Own key metrics such as deliveries per order, delivery date accuracy, ship cost per unit, and contribution profit per unit.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
