About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Professional in a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to security-related incidents, and help to deter unauthorized activity. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and applicable armed post requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout technology-focused facilities, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Requirements
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
