About the Role
This role focuses on providing excellent customer service and maintaining store standards, with a primary focus on merchandising and operational tasks, while also engaging with customers when opportunities arise.
Responsibilities
- Provide SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
- Build vendor relationships by providing direction and ensuring merchandise resets meet Lowe’s specifications.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and needs.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
- Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions, escorting them to areas of the store when necessary.
- Communicate product information to customers regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty information.
- Merchandise plant racks onto plant tables by planogram, price, and color block as they arrive.
- Identify and order replacements for damaged or missing signage, displays, and collateral according to merchandising standards.
- Update and validate wayfinding and product location signage, including digital maintenance.
- Ensure cross merchandise, side stack products, j-hooks, and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately to drive add-on sales.
- Assist with culling and pricing dead and distressed plants.
- Maintain high-level communication and partnership with MSM and red vest associates.
- Identify and communicate issues with quality, quantity, and additional needs to Outside Garden Supervisor and MSM.
- Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, and display products and support materials using power equipment per service expectations.
- Review, complete, and enter completion details for all assigned service and maintenance tasks, including uploading photographs.
- Ensure all displays are safe, in working order, and repaired/replaced as needed.
- Repair/seal damaged packaging and boxes.
- Remove trash, move cardboard boxes to the bailer, and move plastic wrap and debris to the compactor.
- Replace light bulbs and report additional maintenance issues to the appropriate contact.
- Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and communicate them to management or Asset Protection.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including conducting daily safety reviews and securing doors/gates.
- Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, including use of safety equipment and procedures.
- Operate store equipment as needed, such as Zebra phones, computers, and power equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
