About the Role
Delivers the Scene+ engagement program for Scotiabank clients, transforming loyalty engagement strategy into measurable offers, campaigns, and journeys to drive profitable client behaviors. This role is the execution and analytical engine behind the engagement mandate, responsible for building offers, managing the test-and-learn agenda, measuring results, and overseeing partner relationships.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver loyalty offers, accelerators, bonus-point promotions, and always-on lifecycle journeys targeting defined client behaviors across Cards, Day-to-Day Banking, and Lending.
- Develop campaign briefs, offer mechanics, eligibility logic, terms and conditions, and creative inputs, managing initiatives from brief through launch and wrap-up.
- Manage the loyalty engagement campaign calendar, including sequencing, dependencies, capacity, and critical-path dates, flagging conflicts or slippage.
- Coordinate execution across Marketing, Digital, Channels, Martech, agency, and Scene+ delivery teams for on-time, on-brief, error-free deployment.
- Own the day-to-day performance measurement of loyalty engagement initiatives, building reports, tracking KPIs, and surfacing insights.
- Design and run the test-and-learn agenda in partnership with Data & Analytics, including control-group setup and incrementality reads.
- Maintain the offer performance library to ensure learnings compound over time.
- Support business casing and offer economics, preparing analysis for approval.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance packages and scorecards for leadership and partner forums.
- Act as a day-to-day working contact for Scene+ and coalition partners on offer development, activation, and reporting.
- Support delivery of Scotiabank’s consortium commitments, tracking progress and escalating risks.
- Gather and maintain the partner offer inventory and calendar inputs.
- Prepare materials for partner working sessions and business reviews.
- Support business lines with loyalty value proposition content, FAQs, client-facing narratives, and enablement materials.
- Respond to business-line questions on offer eligibility, mechanics, and performance.
- Build effective working relationships across Marketing, Data & Analytics, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
- Contribute competitive and market scans on loyalty engagement practices.
- Understand and consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities.
- Ensure all offers and communications comply with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, Global Sales Principles, and relevant regulations.
- Own documentation and control artefacts for assigned initiatives, including approvals, terms and conditions, disclosure accuracy, and audit records.
- Identify and escalate issues, errors, emerging risks, and control gaps promptly and transparently.
- Operate as an individual contributor with high ownership, being self-directed on assigned initiatives.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- May provide informal guidance or direction to junior team members, co-op students, or agency resources.
Requirements
- 4–6 years in loyalty, CRM, lifecycle or campaign marketing, cards/payments, or customer engagement with hands-on delivery accountability.
- Demonstrated experience taking a campaign or offer from brief to launch to measured result in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable working in data, building performance reporting, and drawing clear insights from results.
- Solid commercial fundamentals: able to build and interrogate an offer business case with support.
- Highly organized with strong project and calendar management discipline; credible managing multiple concurrent deliverables under deadline.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication; able to brief agencies and update senior stakeholders.
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, analytics, or a related discipline.
- Experience with coalition, consortium, or multi-partner loyalty programs.
- Experience in financial services, retail, or another regulated environment.
- Working familiarity with campaign orchestration, offer decisioning or personalization platforms, and with SQL or comparable data tools.
- Exposure to partner-facing or vendor-facing working relationships.
