About the Role
Leads and coordinates general labor activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of project tasks. Provides guidance and hands-on support to crew members, promoting consistent performance and safety compliance. Applies experience to anticipate project needs, address challenges, and improve workflow efficiency. Supports leadership in monitoring progress, maintaining safety standards, and fostering crew development.
Responsibilities
- Leads general labor activities including site preparation, material handling, and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinates daily work assignments and monitors progress to ensure completion on schedule and to quality standards.
- Provides on-the-job training and feedback to crew members to promote safety and skill development.
- Inspects work areas for compliance with quality and safety expectations, addressing issues promptly.
- Communicates progress, challenges, and resource needs to foremen and project leadership.
- Recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety in general labor operations.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in general labor, construction, or a related field required.
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification required.
