About the Role
Join our rapidly growing Accounting Advisory practice in Texas as a trusted partner to clients, including multinational public companies and fast-growing pre-IPO companies. Deliver tailored integrated solutions using your experience and functional knowledge to solve challenges and build future success. Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting, including the design of reporting processes, restatement assistance, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings.
- Address operational accounting needs for continuous improvement and optimization of finance and accounting functions.
- Implement new and existing accounting standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project findings, updates, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members on business issues and potential solutions.
- Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, adhering to data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
- Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with leadership to identify compliant opportunities for enhancing client solutions and internal processes.
- Oversee project administration, including setup, planning, budgeting, account management, and billing.
- Mentor team members through coaching, providing feedback and performance reviews, and assisting with complex issue resolution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, operational accounting, implementing new accounting policy, or complex transactions.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience with transaction-based accounting and reporting requirements, including IPOs (S-1), mergers & acquisitions, and carve-outs.
- Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm).
- Strong operational and technical accounting background, including research of complex technical accounting issues.
- Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools for productivity and innovation.
- Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies like AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
- Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients.
- Experience mentoring and developing team members.
