About the Role
Brompton Heights is seeking a full-time Recreation Aide to interact with residents, develop and lead diverse activities, encourage participation, monitor engagement, and provide individual attention based on resident needs and interests.
Responsibilities
- Interact with residents and understand their needs and limitations with respect and empathy
- Develop, lead and engage in diverse activities that cater to a wide range of interests and abilities including but not limited to, arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, music sessions, outings, Holidays and special events
- Encourage the participation and social interaction of residents during group activities
- Monitor the behaviors and outcomes of an activity ensuring positive feedback and engagement
- Provide individual attention and planning to residents based upon his or her needs or interests, honoring residents’ requests is our specialty!
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift over 25 pounds
Skills
- Responsible
- Dependable
- Enjoys leading group activities
- Experience with seniors is a plus
