About the Role
Under the supervision of the Senior Job Developer, the Job Developer establishes and maintains activities to develop, locate, and secure job opportunities for program participants. Proof of covid 19 vaccine is required.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains employer relationships in the community
- Assesses participants’ skill sets and experiences to seek appropriate job opportunities
- Participates in outreach and recruitment activities by coordinating and attending job fairs
- Develops employer resources information and maintains a job bank
- Delivers job readiness-training workshops to program participants, simulating workplace environment
- Assists participants in assessing their job skills for positions
- Instructs participants in job seeking, application procedures, resume writing, interview preparation, and job retention skills
- Provides job search/career information workshops and presentations to participants/residents
- Arranges interviews
- Provides participants with Labor Market information
- Develops work experience program internships placement sites
- Conducts job site visits after placement to ensure success by providing job analysis
- Monitors participant performance on the job and counsels participants when job performance is not satisfactory
- Refers qualified participants to employers and conducts necessary follow-up after participants are placed in positions
- Is knowledgeable about training and educational opportunities available to participants/residents
Requirements
