About the Role
This role focuses on local CDL A driving, primarily in the Hudson Valley, with opportunities to train for and run New York City routes after 6 months. Drivers benefit from home-every-day routes, mostly no-touch freight, and late-model trucks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fresh and frozen groceries in 48 to 53 foot reefer trailers to supermarkets and distribution centers.
- Operate within the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, and Connecticut, with Long Island and NYC routes available after training.
- Handle backhauls, picking up return product at the last stop or returning to the distribution center.
- Assist other accounts 2 to 3 days per week, potentially unloading with a pallet jack (training provided).
- Assist with customer unloading; mostly no-touch freight.
- Drive automatic and manual day cabs.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
- 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.
- Reliable personal transportation to the account every day.
- Good customer service skills.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- No careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years.
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
- No major preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must pass hair and urine drug testing.

- Average Earnings: $83,600 to $87,600 per year
- Mileage: $0.68 to $0.74 per mile
- Stop Pay: $28.50 to $30 per stop
- NYC Load Pay: $62.50 per load
- Detention: $15 per hour
- Holiday Pay: $280 per day
- New Hire Training: $200 per day
- Weekly Minimum Pay: $1,634 per week
