About the Role

We are looking for an HR Manager to join our team in Berlin. You will professionally, legally, and employee-orientedly shape our HR work throughout the entire employee lifecycle. You will be a trusted point of contact for managers and employees on all HR matters and support PURISH's growth with effective people processes, contributing to a positive, performance-oriented company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational HR work throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding and personnel file maintenance.
  • Create and manage employment contracts, contract amendments, references, and other HR documents.
  • Advise managers and employees competently on labor law issues, HR policies, and personnel matters.
  • Support and conduct recruiting processes, from creating job profiles and advertisements to interviews.
  • Prepare data for payroll and coordinate with payroll and external service providers.
  • Create HR reports and KPIs such as headcount, fluctuation, and absence rates for management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, processes, and guidelines.
  • Accompany performance management, feedback, and development processes.
  • Supervise and optimize HR tools and systems, ensuring high data quality.
  • Participate in exciting HR projects, such as employer branding, culture, and values.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a comparable field, or a commercial apprenticeship with HR further education.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in operational HR, ideally in a generalist role.
  • Sound knowledge of German labor and social security law.
  • Experience with HR software, ideally Personio, and proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace.
  • Fluent German and very good English language skills.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and assertiveness.
  • Discretion, reliability, and a structured, independent way of working.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and actively develop HR processes.
  • Reside in Berlin or be willing to relocate.
