About the Role
Lone Star Court is seeking outstanding talent to provide exceptional customer service. We are looking for team members who are ready to be empowered to go above and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Maintain accurate par levels and restock bar inventory.
- Operate the POS system to enter orders and process payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, garnishes, and equipment.
- Set up and break down the bar area for each shift.
- Greet guests warmly and promptly.
- Make beverage recommendations.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene professionally when necessary.
- Resolve guest concerns or escalate to a manager as needed.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely, accurate service.
- Assist in training new bartenders and barbacks on drink recipes and bar procedures.
- Report low inventory, equipment issues, or maintenance needs to the F&B Manager.
- Communicate nightly sales and any incidents at the end of each shift.
- Maintain current TABC certification.
- Maintain current food handlers certification.
- Follow all responsible alcohol service laws and hotel policies.
- Adhere to health and sanitation standards for food and beverage handling.
- Be in compliance with hotel trainings and attend required meetings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Display courteous behavior with guests and team members.
- Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition.
- Attend required meetings.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older (21+ where required by law).
- Can perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
- Working knowledge of classic and craft cocktail recipes and proper pouring and measuring techniques
- Current TABC certification
- Food Handler’s certification
