About the Role
The CDJEC GED Teacher provides instructional services to youth who have been determined eligible to prepare for and successfully complete the GED examination.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities that address diverse learning styles and ability levels.
- Assess student performance, track academic progress, and maintain educational records.
- Collaborate with educational staff, secure detention staff, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in GED programs for young adults.
- Knowledge of effective instructional practices, curriculum development, and student assessment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
