About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Product Owner, Finance Systems to manage the systems and workflows that support Harvey's finance organization during its global expansion. This role is central to our finance technology stack, including NetSuite, Zip, Ramp, Brex, and Metronome. You will influence the roadmap, prioritize tasks, and oversee project execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Revenue Operations, Procurement, Tax, Business Technology, and Security teams to develop scalable and well-governed solutions. This position requires both advisory and hands-on technical skills, involving thought leadership, problem-solving, solution design, and toolset execution.

Responsibilities

Act as the product owner for core finance business process areas (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report) and their associated systems.
Conduct discovery with process owners, define target-state processes and system designs, manage the roadmap, and measure success through value-added output and accuracy.
Lead complex problem-solving initiatives within your domain, particularly those involving international expansion, multi-entity/currency complexities, or new product offerings requiring integrated pricing, billing, and revenue recognition strategies.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive architecture strategy for the finance applications ecosystem, defining system boundaries, data flows, and future requirements.
Collaborate with owners of adjacent enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Salesforce) to manage necessary integrations and handoffs.
Identify and eliminate manual tasks by replacing spreadsheets, manual data entry, and email approvals with core configurations, automated workflows, and integrations.
Evaluate new functionalities within existing and new tools to determine the best fit for Harvey.
Configure, maintain, and optimize NetSuite and, depending on business process ownership, manage spend and revenue system workflows feeding the ledger (Zip, Ramp, Brex, Metronome).
Understand, advise on, and execute data flows, including upstream product and company-wide data sources critical for revenue reporting.
Identify, test, and implement practical AI and automation opportunities across owned processes in a controlled manner, focusing on time savings and reduction of manual output.
Ensure application quality through a lightweight SDLC that balances accuracy and agility.
Partner with leadership to establish best practices and serve as a mentor and escalation point for peers in Finance and Business Technology on complex design challenges.

Requirements

7+ years of hands-on experience as a finance systems professional.
5+ years of direct NetSuite experience with demonstrated complex configuration depth.
Experience supporting a global, multi-entity, and multi-currency finance organization.
Product owner or product manager experience in at least one core finance business process area (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report) with extensive depth in that domain.
Experience with discovery, target-state process design, proposing tradeoffs/workarounds, and owning a roadmap through delivery.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology organizations.
Ability to adapt communication style based on audience.
Proven ability to build alignment across cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, set technical standards, or act as an expert for complex problems.
Ability to solve ambiguous, high-stakes process problems autonomously, knowing when to involve others in high-impact decisions.
Deep understanding of leading and emerging trends in SaaS finance applications and architecture, including automation and AI.
Direct experience implementing best practices for change management, regression and UAT planning, segregation of duties, and regulatory requirements.
Experience increasing efficiencies through system implementations and optimizations.
