About the Role
L3Harris is seeking a 3D Animator for its in-house Creative Services team to create 3D renders, animations, and video content for marketing, customer engagements, events, and internal communications. This role involves translating technical subject matter into visually compelling content aligned with brand standards, working collaboratively from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Model, light, animate, and render 3D content for marketing, events, customer engagements, and internal use.
- Assist in editing and finishing video content, incorporating animation, motion graphics, audio, titling, and live footage.
- Translate engineering or technical information into accurate, accessible visual stories.
- Utilize AI-supported tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Manage individual tasks and smaller project components, maintaining organized files and meeting deadlines.
- Apply brand standards across delivered assets.
- Collaborate with creative peers, marketing partners, and internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback.
- Support the maintenance of shared asset libraries, project files, and render pipelines.
- Travel up to 10% may be required for events, shoots, or on-site production support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
Skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard 3D tools such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Unreal Engine, Maya, or 3ds Max.
- Proficiency with rendering tools such as Redshift, Octane, or Arnold.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- Familiarity with color grading, basic compositing, and sound design.
- Experience with motion graphics and 2D animation.
- Comfort working with CAD or engineering model data.

Salary/Compensations
- $73,000 - $135,000 (California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas)
- $63,500 - $117,500 (Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia)
