About the Role
As a Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol Driver in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal policy. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and campus information, and document observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
- Work collaboratively with campus personnel and first responders as needed during security-related or emergency situations.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
