About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Finance Manager to serve as the financial lead for a portfolio of retail customers. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales Directors, National Account Executives, and cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth, strengthen customer-level financial performance, and support data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for customer P&L management, trade investment governance, forecasting, pricing analysis, and strategic financial planning. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who wants to work closely with the business and make a direct impact on customer performance. You will use your financial analysis, commercial insight, and stakeholder management skills to support pricing, trade investment, forecasting, and profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial ownership of customer P&Ls, providing clear insights, recommendations, and decision support to Sales Directors and account teams.
  • Analyze customer performance through regular reviews of forecast vs. actuals across volume, rate, mix, gross profit, and trade spend.
  • Ensure Trade Promotion Management (TPM) data integrity and alignment with financial systems, partnering with IT, RGM, and Sales to maintain accurate trade spend, promotional calendars, and customer investment tracking.
  • Develop and maintain customer profitability models, including full P&L builds, scenario modeling, and ROI assessments.
  • Drive customer performance reporting, highlighting variances to plan/forecast and identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate pricing strategies and trade spend classification to optimize pricing and promotion efficiency.
  • Support annual customer revenue planning, including promotional calendars, investment levels, and program summaries.
  • Provide financial leadership in Collaborative Business Planning (CBP) to balance topline growth with internal profit objectives.
  • Review pricing and Trade Spend submissions, ensuring alignment with business plans and preparing trade board requests for incremental investments.
  • Deliver accurate customer level revenue rate forecasting in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance and audit readiness for pricing and Trade Spend documentation; resolve pricing discrepancies promptly.
  • Support customer presentations with financial insights, profitability narratives, and data driven recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant finance experience, ideally in CPG, retail, or customer-facing commercial finance.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and using available data to form recommendations with risk mitigation considerations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain financial performance through clear storytelling.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supporting cross functional teams and influencing business decisions.
  • Skilled collaborator able to work effectively with Sales, Commercial, and Customer Solutions.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate business needs and identify process improvements.
  • High integrity and commitment to accurate financial reporting and ethical business practices.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
