About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Specialist for a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This role involves supporting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective HCP communication through expertise in HCP Professional Education and/or clinical in-field activities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure external communications are medically and scientifically accurate, compliant, and adhere to regulations and guidelines.
- Develop training and educational programs for various audiences, aligning with new products and claims.
- Inform evidence generation plans to support product innovation, claims expansion, and regulatory requirements.
- Effectively communicate the clinical value of Insulet’s products to external audiences.
- Analyze evidence related to diabetes therapies, standards of care, and technologies to inform product development and commercial strategies.
- Ensure successful execution of corporate sponsored and investigator-initiated research studies.
- Maintain clinical quality standards by ensuring procedures reflect current practices and initiatives align with set standards.
- Strategize and execute plans for scientific conferences, including presentations, reports, and Medical Information booths.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a health-related science and/or healthcare credentials (RN, RD, etc.).
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a clinical, industry, or research setting.
- Clinical or scientific background related to diabetes disease state and devices is preferred.
- Industry experience in Medical Information, Clinical Research, Medical Science, or Medical Education departments is desirable.
- Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines/policies.
- High ethical standards for interactions with HCPs, payers, and industry representatives.
