About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining quality standards during the development of cat and dog food products. You will work in various areas and functions of the plant to ensure operators are performing appropriate sanitation activities and quality checks per company policy and procedures. Responsibilities
- Oversee processes to ensure products produced in the factory adhere to quality and food safety standards.
- Lead operational support and improvement activities for the quality stream, including QA checks, problem-solving, project implementation, and standard creation, revision, and implementation.
- Conduct environmental testing in Dry Pet and Specialty Pet areas, enter results, and initiate/follow-up with corrective actions.
- Lead and support the hold management process, status control, and final disposition, including sampling and testing of hold product.
- Support factory laboratories with equipment upkeep, calibration, internal control plans, and training.
- Maintain QA programs, including Quality Collaboratives, References, and Proficiency samples.
- Perform computer work and data entry.
- Be open to working nights and weekends.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 1+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related environment.
