About the Role
The Clinical Research Coordinator collaborates with Investigators and the health care team to manage and coordinate several clinical studies for the Drug Development Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This role involves working with pharma-sponsored, cooperative group sponsored, and Investigator-initiated trials.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient activities such as sample collection, processing, and shipment according to clinical trials protocols.
- Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, conduct ECGs, and administer treatments as per study protocol.
- Assist the primary Clinical Research Coordinator III with patient clinical care, data collection, and source documentation in accordance with UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Excellent phlebotomy, IV, and CVL skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Evidence of good physical assessment, psychosocial assessment, and patient/family teaching skills.
- Autonomous clinical critical thinking ability.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in oncology with a strong knowledge base.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities and work independently with accuracy in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office software - Word and Excel desired.
- Current UHN employees must have successfully completed their probationary period, have a good employee record, and satisfactory attendance.
- Criminal Record Check may be required.

- Recognized certification in clinical research (ACRP or SOCRA) obtained or plans to work towards
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines an asset
Salary/Compensations
- $84,779 - $105,968 Per Year
