About the Role

Dakota Veterinary Center is seeking a Veterinary Technician Manager to lead and develop the technician and veterinary assistant team while remaining connected to hands-on patient care. This role involves people development, workflow improvement, setting clinical standards, and supporting the team.

Responsibilities

Coaching, mentoring, and developing technicians and veterinary assistants
Supporting onboarding and hands-on clinical training
Creating clear expectations and accountability across the team
Coordinating daily workflow, staffing, and patient care needs
Helping technicians utilize and grow their clinical skills
Maintaining strong medical, safety, and patient-care standards
Improving efficiency and communication between doctors and support team
Supporting anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care
Working alongside the team when needed

Requirements

Current New York State Veterinary Technician licensure
Strong hands-on veterinary technician experience
Leadership, supervisory, training, or mentorship experience
Confidence with anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
Experience with dentistry and dental radiography
Strong venipuncture, IV catheter, laboratory, radiology, and patient-care skills
Ability to coach others while holding people accountable
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
