About the Role
Actively takes orders, conducts full beverage and food service, and monitors guest lounge/bar experience. Interacts with guests, team members, and supervisors courteously to ensure exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and accommodate all guest needs
- Provide professional and exceptional service
- Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions for all beverage and food items
- Inform guests of food and beverage specials, including prices
- Solicit allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest
- Accurately enter all orders into the POS system
- Ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to guests
- Maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and the entire venue
- Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
- Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers, and be a team player
- Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company
- Serve all beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards
- Follow all company procedures when providing bottle service
- Follow proper cash/payment card procedures
- Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
- Accurately complete all end-of-shift financial procedures
- Communicate guest needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs
- Properly set-up cocktail lounge/bar and side stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures
- Ensure all lounge furniture is clean and free of debris
- Set tables with proper settings
- Stock side-stations with prescribed supplies
- Complete opening duties as assigned or directed
- Complete closing duties as assigned or directed
- Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
- Attend and participate in training sessions or departmental meetings
- Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example
- Portray a positive and professional attitude
- Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments
- Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all team members
- Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Previous cocktail server or floor server experience preferred
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
- Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
- Must have good positive energy throughout the day
- Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move quickly
- Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
- Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
