About the Role
Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY) is seeking a Full-Time Cleaner for residential and out-patient positions in the New York City Area (Queens & Bronx). This role is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring the well-being of clients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize office areas, including desks, chairs, workstations, windows, and doors.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness and minimize infectious disease transmission.
- Comply with OSHA rules and regulations, using provided green products and appropriate tools.
- Complete online trainings, create supply inventories, and log out sheets.
- Fill out janitorial checklists at the end of each shift and lock doors.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Follow safety rules and precautions.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners.
- Break down boxes and dispose of them properly.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, ensuring supplies are stocked.
- Maintain kitchen and breakroom areas, including cleaning countertops, sinks, and appliances.
- Collaborate with other employees and facility teams.
- Clean sidewalks and facility entrances.
- Refill hand soaps, paper towels, and other necessary supplies.
- Put out extra cleaning material on Fridays for weekend preparation.
- Report maintenance issues or shortages of cleaning supplies to the supervisor.
- Perform minor repairs as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic workspace.
- Assume and adhere to assigned Job Action role(s) during a declared disaster.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Must have a Valid Driver License.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Be able to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- May require walking, primarily on a level surface, for short periods throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
