About the Role
The Hairdresser/Hair Stylist is a critical role within our communities, impacting residents' lives and igniting human connection. This role is for an existing vacancy.
Responsibilities
- Provides hair salon services for male and female residents.
- Books appointments with residents, managing last-minute and walk-in requests.
- Manages accounting functions for the hair salon, including invoicing and payment collection.
- Promotes resident-focused care in accordance with organizational policies and resident rights.
- Provides care and services with respect to residents' senses, communication, daily living activities, and personal lifestyle choices.
- Observes and reports resident conditions to the Registered Team on duty.
- Participates in quality, risk, records, and infection control measures.
- Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Valid Hairdressing/Aesthetics license and copy of Hairdressing certificate.
- Proof of insurance coverage – $2,000,000.
- Experienced in providing hair salon services to seniors.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Registration in good standing with WorksafeBC (British Columbia).
- Must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario applicants).
- Must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check (British Columbia applicants).
