About the Role
Under the direction of the VP of Operations, the Operations Manager will provide general oversight of operational and administrative functions for a large contract based in Southern California or New York City, ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance are met across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Administers internal control programs to facilitate operational or administrative qualifications.
- Manages large-scale deliverables and ensures security variables like Non-billable Overtime meet company standards.
- Receives and executes technical directions from the client on behalf of the VP of Operations.
- Monitors and acts upon all attendance and disciplinary issues of Contractor’s personnel.
- Prepares weekly summary reports, including post incident reports and daily total guard hours.
- Maintains all post orders in a central file and ensures posts have copies.
- Conducts specialized security training as required.
- Establishes performance measures for service provided to ensure productivity and effectiveness.
- Attends daily briefings to provide updates and communicate issues or concerns.
- Recommends enhancements to policy and procedures.
- Engages subordinate Managers and Security Operators to ensure contract compliance and define performance expectations.
- Ensures sound business practices are deployed to comply with financial performance projections.
- Maintains high standards of competence through instruction and training for Managers, Supervisors, and security personnel.
- Provides direct management to subordinate personnel.
Requirements
- Must possess at least eight years of experience managing security operations at a complex, multi-use facility; or six years serving in the US military or law enforcement.
- Must be highly organized and available during off-hours, weekends, etc.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have experience managing Guard staff.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to receive and disseminate information clearly is required.
- Ability to support First Responders as directed is required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize is required.
- Individual must be highly organized and responsive.
- Courteous, "customer-service" demeanor is required.
