About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. Communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence in a residential setting.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by following post orders, communicating with site staff, and completing required activity reports.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Security license is preferred.
