Responsibilities
- Exhibits team building skills, process improvement, development of responsibilities, and promoting department efficiencies.
- Demonstrates skills in communication and prioritizing assignments.
- Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with system departments, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Exhibits time management and multi-tasking abilities to maintain departmental efficiencies.
- Satisfies customer needs in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintains working knowledge of DI testing and understands complex scheduling for patient testing.
- Provides support for the Diagnostic Imaging department through interaction and coordination with Special Procedures Technologists and Interventional Radiology staff.
- Assists with safe transport and/or transfer of patients.
- Prepares scanning rooms between patients by cleaning equipment, changing linen, and attaching appropriate coils for exams.
- Provides clerical support including telephone response, verifying patient demographic and DI screening form information, and obtaining prior testing information.
- Assists in and performs diverse tasks to maintain an efficient and organized department.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior medical imaging experience preferred.
