About the Role
Intelligent Change is seeking a Head of Operations / Integrator to serve as the operational counterpart to the Founder & CEO, transforming vision into execution and owning the company's operating system, including priorities, people, accountability, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Translate ideas, conversations, and strategic priorities into clear objectives, owners, timelines, KPIs, budgets, next actions, and accountability.
- Establish and manage a company operating system encompassing annual and quarterly priorities, weekly leadership meetings, KPI dashboards, project accountability, decision tracking, forecasting, resource allocation, performance reviews, and escalation paths.
- Lead the leadership team to function cohesively, setting expectations, creating accountability, coaching leaders, identifying gaps, resolving cross-functional issues, improving communication, assisting with hiring, and addressing underperformance.
- Oversee operational performance across DTC/Shopify, Amazon, wholesale, retail, international distribution, product development, inventory, supply chain, partnerships, and digital products, ensuring the entire business machine functions effectively.
- Create financial discipline by working with finance and the CEO to ensure decisions lead to profitable growth, managing P&Ls, budgets, contribution margins, inventory, cash flow, forecasts, hiring ROI, departmental spending, and scenario planning.
- Simplify the business by implementing simpler systems, fewer priorities, clearer ownership, better tools, smaller teams, and increased output.
- Build an AI-first company by integrating AI into decision-making, reporting, project management, research, customer insights, forecasting, documentation, internal knowledge, workflows, automation, and individual productivity.
Requirements
- Successfully operated within a founder-led consumer business.
- Meaningful experience leading operations and cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of ecommerce, retail, and physical products.
- Managed a P&L or had significant financial responsibility.
- Ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution.
- Extremely organized without becoming bureaucratic.
- High standards and comfort holding people accountable.
- Clear and direct communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions with incomplete information.
- Proactive in identifying and addressing problems before they become emergencies.
- Natural ability to create clarity from ambiguity.
- Commercially minded.
- Highly resourceful.
- Understanding that priorities require saying no.
- Strong emotional intelligence.
- Ability to operate independently without constant direction.
