About the Role
Fulham Palace Gardens, part of Fulham Prep School, is seeking a committed, passionate, and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant for a September 2026 start. This role is based at the Pre-Prep site, offering an opportunity to influence the development of facilities and curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support pupils, including those with additional needs, under teacher direction, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
- Prepare and utilize equipment and resources for lesson plans and learning activities, assisting pupils with their use.
- Encourage pupil interaction and engagement in activities.
- Provide feedback to pupils on progress and achievement under teacher guidance.
- Implement strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils in achieving learning goals.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities.
- Supervise pupils outside of lesson times, including lunch and play times.
- Undertake duties commensurate with the post, including playground and dining room supervision, and participate in job description reviews.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Childcare and/or Education.
- Educated to A Level or equivalent.
- IT literate.
- Committed to making a difference for children of all abilities and talents.
- Utilize a variety of teaching styles to aid learning.
- Be a committed, dynamic, and pro-active teaching assistant.
- Be a cheerful, friendly, and cooperative member of staff.
- Be supportive and positive in interactions with team members and pupils.
- Maintain excellent levels of appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Involve oneself fully in the life of the school.
- Value and promote the caring ethos of the school.
