About the Role

Responsibilities

Carry out risk assessments and audits
Monitor the site to ensure processes align with Amazon’s safety procedures
Create and update reports on safety metrics for colleagues to review
Collaborate with Operations and other business departments on safety-related tasks and provide guidance on processes
Support the implementation of new safety measures
Track site activities and address employee questions
Identify potential safety issues proactively
Inspect the site and observe equipment usage
Understand task and machine operations to ensure process safety
Implement safety changes and collaborate with various stakeholders
Provide support to the Operations team on ad-hoc safety-related work
Gather data to monitor processes and identify potential issues
Share safety data across the business and collaborate with teams to promote safety practices

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 or NEBOSH (National General Certificate)
Proficient English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Relevant experience using data analysis to generate and explain metrics
Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
Experience with Lean, 5S or Kaizen methodologies (Preferred)
Experience planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives (Preferred)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team (Preferred)
