About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service. Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and team members while responding to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, members, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including interior common areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and maintain professional communication with building personnel.
- Respond to incidents, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
