About the Role
As a GIC Administrator, you play an important role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of Guaranteed Investment Certificate transactions. You support operational excellence across settlements, servicing, and reconciliation activities while delivering exceptional service to clients, advisors, issuers, and internal partners.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate daily GIC order activity.
- Process GIC settlements and wire payments through CDS.
- Enter and maintain GIC purchase orders.
- Reconcile commissions and ensure timely distribution to clients and advisors.
- Process corrections, cancellations, entitlements, and maturity payments.
- Support GIC issuer onboarding and ongoing servicing activities.
- Resolve inquiries and provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a brokerage or financial services environment.
- Direct experience supporting GIC products is considered an asset.
- Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Foundational knowledge of Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and related functions.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a broader team.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for finding better ways to work.
- Current work authorization for Canada is required.
