About the Role
GRAHAM is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective control of construction projects. This role involves managing contractual relationships between project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Check and process sub-contract payments for work completed.
- Ensure subcontractors are not charging for uncompleted work.
- Produce schedules of materials needed for projects.
- Prepare and manage project accounts.
- Produce regular reports on cost and value.
- Generate spend profiles and forecasts for projects.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Conduct site measurements.
- Liaise with site personnel to obtain and reconcile site records against claimed works.
- Agree on project changes with the client's commercial team.
- Manage all legal contracts and their clauses for a project.
Requirements
- Studying Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management to degree level at university or technical college.
- Demonstrate an understanding of construction management practices.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Possess a Full Driving Licence.
- Have the Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold a Health & Safety Induction Including Management System CSR/SAFEPASS/CSCS Card (Desirable).
- Previous site experience (Desirable).
