About the Role

The Manager, Collections Technology Projects is responsible for managing and delivering small to medium-sized technology projects from conception to completion, collaborating with key technology and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of short-term and longer-term business plans for Canada Collections by executing collection system changes aligned with the technology roadmap.
  • Ensure the delivery of best-in-class customer service by fostering an environment that promotes agile, flexible, and timely operational efficiencies.
  • Mitigate the bank’s risk by identifying and assessing opportunities to streamline or improve procedures and replace them with more efficient, customer-centric processes.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the team by actively participating in consultations with partners.
  • Take initiative in identifying process enhancements that drive increased efficiencies within the unit as a subject matter expert for the collection system.
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners by collaborating on project deliverables and working with a diverse working group.
  • Build good working relations with vendors and technology partners, as applicable.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a highly technology complex environment.
  • Prior experience in managing small to medium-sized projects.
  • Working knowledge of retail credit products and consumer credit lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of business analysis / multi-project timelines and tools.
  • Effective and proven relationship building, strategic influencing, and change leadership skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS applications (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint).
  • Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment with multiple initiatives impacting the bank’s bottom line.
