About the Role

This role supports leaders and business partners across Group Retirement Services (GRS) Operations on projects, process improvements, and change initiatives. The goal is to ensure effective processes, clear documentation, and practical best practices that support strong Client service across Savings/Accumulation and Payout Annuities.

Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process redesign activities across GRS Operations, including documenting current-state processes, identifying gaps, supporting analysis, and implementing improvements.
  • Collaborate with business partners and leaders to understand operational needs, gather information, and support the development of improved processes and best practice solutions.
  • Represent GRS Operations on projects and change initiatives impacting business operations, such as process improvements, digital initiatives, regulatory changes, product changes, and operational readiness.
  • Support stakeholder communication by clarifying expectations, tracking progress, documenting decisions, and escalating risks or issues.
  • Bridge the gap between Operations and IT by documenting business requirements, validating process impacts, and supporting end-to-end understanding of operational changes.
  • Assist with change management activities, including communications, training material updates, process documentation, and adoption support.
  • Create, maintain, and improve knowledge management content, process documentation, procedures, and job aids for consistent operations.
  • Support GRS and Payout Annuity tools by documenting processes, identifying enhancement opportunities, and supporting governance and risk management.
  • Assist with annual and recurring operational activities, including deadline readiness, year-end readiness, audit support, and business readiness.

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and with business partners.
  • Ability to review data, summarize findings, and help identify opportunities for process, quality, and efficiency improvements.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and process redesign, with a willingness to contribute ideas and support implementation.
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening, asking questions, speaking up, and writing clearly.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Experience using presentation and collaboration tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, business analysis, project management, or other related accreditation is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience supporting business analysis, project coordination, process improvement, operations, or change management activities.
  • Understanding of Sun Life and GRS Operations, including systems, products, and operational processes, is considered an asset.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, or an equivalent university degree, college diploma, or related work experience.

Salary/Compensations

  • Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
