About the Role
Join NewYork-Presbyterian as a Per Diem Occupational Therapist (Pediatrics) and help patients gain functional independence and live fulfilling lives. You will evaluate, plan, and provide occupational therapy treatment programs for pediatric patients, covering various specialties and potentially treating outpatients.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and provide occupational therapy treatment programs for pediatric patients whose injury, disease, or loss of body part interferes with daily functioning.
- Provide skilled intervention using a variety of techniques that are appropriate to achieve identified goals.
- Cover pediatric orthopedics, neuro, trauma, ICU, and general medicine/surgery floors, with the potential to treat outpatients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- New York State Occupational Therapy License.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Demonstrates competency in clinical skills consistent with the level of education, training, and experience.
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
